Thisbe's Cooking
I kind of mentioned it before, Thisbe has started a business called Thisbe's Bakery. She sells her baked goods at school and the money will be used to support the LDS General Humanitarian Fund. I have also already mentioned that my camera has broken so I haven’t been taking many pictures of her. She has had 3 bake sales already and has sold all her good each time. With this last sale she actually exceeded the initial $20 donation I contributed to get her business up and running. She has to plan when to have a sale, what she is going to bake, what ingredients she needs to buy, when to bake (many things can be prepared in advance), and when and where to advertise. She also takes care of all the money and the keeping of a log. I really just sit back and watch, with the occasional question to get her focused, I also oversee the kitchen work as needed. It is fun to watch her in action at a sale.
She has another sale tomorrow, cupcakes and cocoa krispie treats. I'll try and remember the camera.
