On Saturday we took the Kiddies to a community Easter Egg Hunt. It could have gone well if there was better planning for plan B (in case of bad weather). The egg hunt was held indoors at a school. There were so many people that you could not walk around. Not at all!! It must have been a fire hazard. When the kids (in Magnus' age group) finally got to start hunting for eggs it wasn't a hunt at all. There were so many eggs hidden in a small area that they were in piles of 10-20 eggs just sitting all over the floor. So you got to your place and 1-2-3 Go. You picked up you pile and after a few seconds it was over. Thisbe's age group was a different story. They let only the kids 7-12 in a room (no Parents)lined them up along the wall and said 1-2-3 Go. Again there were piles of eggs scattered around the floor and on tables so it was over fast. But with Thisbe's age group the competition was much more intense.. There were kids running, pushing, and fighting over eggs. The worst part was the parents rooting them on from the hallway. It was so fast and intense that Thisbe only escaped with a single egg.
Crazy! I don't thing we'll do that again.
I can't say it was all a loss. Magnus did get to see the Easter Bunny and have his face painted.
By the time we were able to escape the crowds all Thisbe had to say was "Can we go now!!"

They did end up having a lot of fun with the eggs they brought home. They had many Egg hunts that night in our living room.
