Kangaroo Fun

We went out for a family outing on Saturday, didn't have any place particular in mind, we just hopped in the car got on the free way and hoped for the best. We found this kangaroo farm or zoo or something. I had heard of it before so we checked it out. We got to walk around and pet walabies and kangaroos for about an hour or so.

Magnus had no fear. He just walked around with bread in his hands looking for a little (or big) guy who was willing to eat it. Thisbe was a little unsure about the whole thing. At first she wouldn't take the bread they were passing out and didn't really want to go up to them at all. She did come around however and really enjoyed herself. Bronwyn was so cute. She had a great time watching all the bouncy guys around her and wasn't nervous at all to touch them.

I was so impressed how friendly they were. The little walabies were so cute. The kangaroo's however were a little intimidating.

Look at the size of that guy. He is towering over that little girl. Regardless of size they were really very tame and would even let Bron tug on their fur a bit without even blinking an eye.

After we finished the tour they brought out the babies for us to hold.

They were so cute and soft and sweet I could barely stand it. After that Thisbe and Magnus started talking about getting a kangaroo and how we would raise it and who would take care of it. So to sum it all up the kiddies had a great time and we will probably do it again.

Well we didn't make it camping again this summer, so we did the next best thing.

Painting Rocks

After a few days of begging I got out the paints. They had a collection of rocks ready to be painted. It took them about 10 minutes to paint all of the rocks they had collected so they moved on to other rocks in the yard.

I guess they got bored with that because Magnus started painting flowers pretending to be a fairy and Thisbe started painting the tree.

With Bron asleep, I enjoyed the hour or so of a quiet house.
