A bit better

Today my new camera arrived. It ended up being a birthday present. I opened it up, stuck in some batteries, popped on the lens and started shooting. I'll sit down and read the manual as soon as I have time. I'm not sure what the settings were on, I just started shooting. I think a few adjustments would have yielded a bit better quality but I'll have to figure out all that later.

Look Who's 1

Happy Birthday Bronwyn!

I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that she's 1. She had a doctors apt this week and she is 28 " tall and weighs 19lb 1oz. She is in the 23rd percentile for height and 17th for weight. I find that so crazy. Her two siblings were always in the 80's and 90's percentile for height and weight. I can't even turn around her car seat yet. Oh well. There is nothing wrong with small if your healthy. I haven't posted much lately about Bron. So I guess its time for an update. So lets see....

She walked just before 10 months and has now started to run. She finally started drinking from a sippy cup a couple of weeks ago so I can start to think about weaning her. She absolutely adores her brother Magnus. Magnus is the only name she says MA MA. I first confused this with mama, you know the "a" pronounced like the short "o" sound, but to my realization when she was saying it it is actually the short "a" sound as in the beginning of Magnus' name. And when she says it it is obviously directed to Magnus not Me. Oh Well.  She does say Mama but Thisbe is mama at times and so is Dave. She is very friendly from afar and warms up quickly. She does have quite an attitude, she does not appreciate getting left out of anything, and lets us know it.

First Snow

We had our first snow this week. Thisbe and Magnus went out on Monday. Bron was jealous and kept pounding on the window wanting to go out with them. While they were out there that day we got a couple of more inches and than more over night. We have been trapped in the house as the hill that I live on is sheer ice. Oh Well.

Rub-a-Dub-Dubby

She's all alone in her tubby!

I got this cute inflatable turtle tub as a shower gift. I have tried to use it in the past but Bron wasn't quite ready yet. I kind of forgot about using it until today. She had a great time. I enjoyed just sitting by the tub watching her play until she became her normal wiggly, I have to move and get myself in trouble self and started climbing out. She wouldn't sit back down and insisted on exploring the big tubby so that was the end of bath time for the day.

Time Is Up

I guess I have no choice. I have to baby proof the house now. Bron is pulling up on everything. The wall, the crib, the spinning wheel, almost anything. She is very unstable and she falls almost everytime she stands but it doesn't seem to scare her, so I bet she'll stable up soon.

So Much For Hoping

Today while I was reading to the bigger kiddies on the couch, Bron crawled over, stood herself up, and loudly declared she wanted to be up on the couch too. I would have invited her earlier but she tends to manhandle the book as we are trying to read it, and yells when I wont let her eat it.

I did satisfy her with a board book on the floor however.

You Can't Stop This Girl

Bron is a new girl. This last month she has done nothing but move, move, move. Well the crawling didn't happen right away but she had an interestingly efficient dolphin thing going on that got her where she wanted quickly. She first learned how to stand from the sitting position, than learned how to sit from the crawling position, and now she crawls. She hasn't stood on her own for a little while so hopefully she has forgotten. I am not ready for her to crawl to what she sees than stand up to get it. I bet it wont be long though.
