missing teeth
Magnus lost 3 of his front teeth this month.

Today my new camera arrived. It ended up being a birthday present. I opened it up, stuck in some batteries, popped on the lens and started shooting. I'll sit down and read the manual as soon as I have time. I'm not sure what the settings were on, I just started shooting. I think a few adjustments would have yielded a bit better quality but I'll have to figure out all that later.
(Magnus thought it was important for me to say that the tooth fairy came and left two whole dollars.)
Thisbe and Magnus had their Christmas Recital this past weekend. This was Magnus' first recital.
Magnus Played: Up on the House Top and Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.

Thisbe Played: Deck the Halls and Silent Night.

You'll have to forgive my hack job on their eyes. I had trouble with photoshop today. I hate red eyes!!
If you didn't know it Magnus loves roses. I guess it's because his favorite Disney princesses have them. Well this summer he discovered in our yard some roses. They were at the back of the yard with about 8 ft of ivy in front of them. The only way to cut the roses was to brave it and wade through the spider infested ivy. I would not, Thisbe would not, but Magnus did. (I guess he could put his fear of spiders aside if he got to hold a rose) Well we were eating lunch a couple of weeks ago and Magnus discovered that the rose bush had put out a few new blooms. So he decided to forge the ivy again. This time however he was armed with scissors to cut down the spider webs along the way. (I decided it best not to mention all the spider webs at his feet under the ivy)

I was a little late getting school started today. So while I was eating my breakfast and Thisbe was practicing piano. Magnus decided the Bronwyn needed to hear about the adventures of Spider Man and read to her from his newly made needle and pin book.

By the looks she was giving I guess she likes Spider Man too.
The last couple of days Magnus has been working on his first sewing project for school. This isn't the project he wanted to do but I insisted that he try this one before he tries to tackle a bigger one.
Today he finished it. I was there for moral support and help with the detangling of knots but other than that this was Magnus' project.
Here he is posing with his sachet.
He wouldn't take the picture without his precious fairy Penelope.
